A day after a group of mainstream Muslim leaders pledged loyalty to Australia at a special meeting with Prime Minister John Howard, he and his ministers made it clear that extremists would face a crackdown. Treasurer Peter Costello, seen as heir apparent to Howard, hinted that some
radical clerics could be asked to leave the country if they did not accept that
Australia was a secular state and its laws were made by parliament. "I'd be saying to clerics who are teaching that there are two laws governing people in Australia, one the Australian law and another the Islamic law, that is false. If you can't agree with parliamentary law, independent courts, democracy, and would prefer Sharia law and have the opportunity to go to another country, which practices it, perhaps, then, that's a better option," Costello said. Asked whether he meant radical clerics would be forced to leave, he said
those with dual citizenship could possibly be asked to move to the other
country. "Basically, people who don't want to be Australians, and they don't want to live by Australian values and understand them, well then they can basically clear off," he said. Separately, Howard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation's mosques. AMERICA and Canada..... ARE YOU LISTENING? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ After Sydney not wanting to offend other cultures by putting up Xmas lights. After hearing that The State of South Australia changed its opinion and let a
Muslim woman have her picture on her driver's license with her face covered. Quote: IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians. However, the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the "politically correct" crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others. I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is Seeking a better life by coming to Australia. However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand. This idea of Australia being a multicultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Australians, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom. We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, Learn the language! Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push but a fact because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, Because God is part of our culture. We will accept your beliefs and will not question why, all we ask is that you accept ours and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us. If the Southern Cross offends you, or you don't like " A Fair Go", then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet. We are happy with our culture and have no desire to Change, and we really don't care how you did things where you came from. By all means keep your culture but do not force it on others. This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom, "THE RIGHT TO LEAVE". If you aren't happy here then LEAVE. We didn't force you to come here. Pretty easy really, when you think about it. I figure if we all keep passing this to our friends (and enemies) it will also, sooner or later get back to the complainers, lets all try, please. Thank you! I am just glad they have been caught....but to the young teenagers who were driving around Notre Dame Collegiate on Thursday Jan.19 around 10:45 pm who thought they were cool to throw out lit fireworks on the dry grass on school property...yes YOU were seen! We've been living in the Vancouver Lower Mainland in B.C. You might think of Vancouver with the beauty of the surrounding mountains, the ocean and beaches; we think of different things here, namely: the crystal meth invading our society, street racing taking lives, rapes, murder, provincial sales tax, astronomical housing prices, severe traffic congestion particularly at the many bridges, extremely soft judicial system, car thieves and drug dealers who walk the streets the day after getting busted... Shall we go on? We're looking forward to High River. How long is it going to take you to start smelling the coffee Ron Weston is brewing?? How many more YEARS is he going to be able to call the shots when it comes to development in this town without anyone asking any questions? I am in a position where on a daily basis I am asked the question,
" Whats his problem, doesnt he want to see growth in High River?"Good question, I am wondering that myself these days! New people come to town with ideas for new business, local developers attempt projects and struggle with the crap Ron dishes out, and wonder as I do
" whats Ron Westons AGENDA?" How can ONE PERSON have so much power and no one questions WHATS GOING ON??? All I hear about day after day is how many hoops have to be jumped through, and then what it all comes down to is whether or not Ron is PISSY that day! Its pretty bad when the saying around town is A Modern Town with a Weston Tradition! We have not scratched the surface of what High River could be with the RIGHT GUY in charge of planning! Sure the small town atmosphere is nice, but the reality is that growth and development bring prosperity and abundance to everyone, and thats good for us ALL!Face it, the world is changing, and we have to change with it. We cannot continue to keep giving all the golden opportunities to Okotoks and its people, we owe it to the people of this community to start becoming accountable for the future of HIgh River!!DEVELOPMENT IS GOOD RON WESTON, and who are you to stand in the way of the people who want to make this community great! Its high time you got your overinflated fat ego off the pot, and let a reasonable, sane human being with the PROPER SKILLS for the job take over! If you have issues from your childhood that have made you the bitter little man that you are, PLEASE get the help you need, and leave the rest of us alone to grow this community to what it deserves to be! P.S. I hear Dr. Phil is available every afternoon at 3 P.M. During a routine maintenance of my PC I came upon the following port
entries which had a couple of recorded exchanges with numbered IP's:
"Backdoor-g-1" a semi-trojan not recognized by Microsoft and Norton, (who coincidently share overlapping copyright on the windows disk defragmenter) and commonly referred to as an Explorer add-on. After a lengthy search I found the common activities to these communications were accessing http://*.js (javascript files from a host server). The numbered IP addresses came from the same host site: http://www.melbourneit.com.au (which I never visited) who happen to be involved with large scale domain name registration, so large in fact that they have secured a healthy healthy healthy contract with first microsoft and now licos:
But where does that lead to? Only to: http://www.imrworldwide.com/
who are famous for "RedSheriff", the next age of "cookie"
which is bypassing all current detections via java droppings on the browser,
and they are quite tight with melbourneIT. (all roads lead to Rome?) Every
site so far found using the RedSheriff cookie will leave an IP that points to
melbourneIT.
The result? All the big players in software OS and protection, in bed with a company that has trojan access to any java enabled browser. Oh well, where there's a Bill ... there's a way.

It's tragic when a life is lost when for all intents and purposes it is preventable. As for the current question, I do feel there is more time spent covering tracks than performing service, but I also feel it is a result of too many needs and insufficient finances. More now than ever agencies are expected to perform better than the previous year with less than the previous year. And when the danger of losing your household income is in the picture you learn how to pass the buck or else lose your job. This issue goes right to the top levels of political mismanagement, as do they all I suppose. When top levels spend their time protecting their jobs rather than doing their job they set the standard which trickles down the ladder. Name: Russ choice: New Comment concerning: Keeping it local?
