High River town council is now
preparing proposals for an anti-smoking bylaw that would curb or prohibit
smoking in public areas, including outdoor regions and eating
establishments. The
phrase "in the interests of children" effectively and legally reduces the equality rights of
smokers from other citizens, but also opens a tangle of semantics historically shown to do
more harm than good.
For an appropriate resolution, do you feel there should be a vote of
High River citizens on this bylaw rather than an arbitrary enactment of
council?

elevator within our town, it still succumbed to fire on Monday,

Alberta, will this event affect you or your family's usual consumption of
