

The Foothills Youth Foundation opened its doors on October 31st, 2003. FYF and the volunteer board of directors is committed to providing a safe, non-judgemental environment where youth ages 11-17 can access games, life skills workshops and socialize with their peers. We also strive to give the community a place where families can participate in multi-generational activities that promote healthy togetherness.


The Centre has a full time coordinator, Shannon Bond. Shannon has worked with children and youth for many years and in such varied capacities as: day care worker, outdoor education guide and instructor, school bus driver, volunteer service clubs coordinator and special needs coordinator.
Hours of Drop-in:
Thursday 3:30pm-6:30pm
Friday 7:00pm-12:00am. Bring your cd’s for the weekly dance
Saturday Noon-Midnight. Movie Night
Sunday is Family Day 1:00pm-5:00pm
** Family Day is when children younger than 11 can enjoy the facility. An adult MUST accompany children**


One-year memberships for the Foothills Youth Foundation can be purchased for $2.00. If the youth does not have a membership it is $2.00 every time they come in. Membership does not cover special events such as dances and workshops.
Youth Steering Committee:
FYF is determined to give youth a voice in the Centre’s programming. This committee is open to any youth aged 11+ and will help determine the workshops, tournaments and special events that will take place. First meeting is Thursday, Feb.20th at 4pm.
